MEC Maine Central SW-7 #332 Bangor, ME 07-00-81
The Maine Central received 3 SW-7's and 2 SW-9's, the first 2, the #331 & #332 were placed into service on September 16, 1950 essentially eliminating steam powered helper's through Crawford Notch and the elimination of steam on the Bartlett Rigby Local and the occasional Gilman Extra. By the 70's they could be found working on the locals based out of Bangor and I suspect this power was for the 2nd Bucksport.
