MEC Maine Central BR-2 U18B #408 Northern Me Jct 01-13-77
The winter of 76/77 was bitterly cold and with plenty of snow, I didn't get as many plows as GSP but did well. The standard operations of the Maine Central and other railroads went out the window. BR-2 with a pair of U18B's and a GP38 for power waits for a new crew at Northern Me Jct. The original crew reported on-duty the previous night at 1930 and after picking up the connection off the BAR the crew would spend the rest of the night pumping up the air having only traveled approximately 7 miles.
