MEC Maine Central SW-7 #331 Bucksport Job Eastbound Brewer, ME 10-00-74

At one time the Maine Central operated two round trips per day operating with 3 different crews 7 days per week to serve the paper mill in Bucksport, oh yeah the mill is gone today. Can't remember the correct id but suspect in the world of trains he likely id'd on the dispatcher train sheet as Work Extra 331. The 331 was one of 3 SW7's owed by the Maine Central along with 2 SW-9's the last of the order #335 that was delivered in Dartmouth Green, originally purchased to replace the steam helpers out of Bartlett on Mountain Sub the were geared so maximum speed was restricted to 35 mph. That will not be a problem today as the first and last of the small SW fleet rolls through Brewer. As additional info all trains destined the Calais or Bucksport branches out of Bangor Yard backed out of Bangor Yard to depart and reversed the process to arrive.
