MEC SW-7 # 333 Bangor , ME 11-81
The Maine Central had 3 SW-7's and 2 SW-9's on there roster being purchased in the early 50's. These units were geared down so their maximum speed was 35 mph. When delivered they were assigned to Bartlett, NH where they replaced they replaced steam in providing helper service and service up to Beecher Falls. By the 80's they were assigned to Bangor where they could be found working the Bucksport Branch or the Oldtown Local. SW-7# 333 is working Bangor Yard and behind the locomotive is the yard office and RD tower. Today this is all gone with but a single track going through this area.
