In the clear at Osceola
As a Train Dispatcher and a Boomer I have literally dispatched thousands of miles of track having never seen it. An example was the Golden State Route between Tucumcari and El Paso, the only time I ever saw the line was when I drove out to Tucson after being hired. In May of 2016 there was a charter on the CN's Dresser Sub which was formerly operated by the WC with the Soo maintaining trackage rights up to the ballast pit at Dresser. Our Power today is SOO Line FP7 #2500, we are in the clear at Osceloa so an empty ballast train can get to the pit. This trip was first time I was ever part of a charter train as a paying customer, first time and likely only time on the Dresser Sub, all in all not a bad way to spend the day with friends.
