CPR S-3 #6500 Turntable St Luc Yard night 01-11-74
S-3 #6500 was built by MLW in Montreal being delivered to the CP in 1951. Twenty three years later it is still earning it's keep as it takes spin on the turntable at St Luc.. I seem to remember it going to the AVR as a possible replacement for the 44 tonners, think the curvature was 2 tight in many spots and they spent more time on the ground than the rail. In May of 84 it was retired and eventually scrapped.
