MEC Maine Central GP38 #253 No 335 arriving Mattawamkeag 02-21-78
After the Maine Central sold the "Joint Track" between Mattawamkeag and Vanceboro the Maine Central continued operating through to Vanceboro. Operating as Second Class freight No 335 GP-38 # 253 has just arrived attawamkeag and is back on home rails, after some switching they will head West still getting home in time for supper. The 4 enclosed hopper cars were modified in the Waterville Shops for a customer that made clothespin and they were held in captive service between Keag and Wilton located on the now abandoned Farmington Branch. I think these cars were 2300-2303
