Cleaning the Yard Oakfield, ME, 1-21-2002
In what would be the final of operations for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad an extra yard job has been called to work in conjunction with the spreader clearing the yard at Oakfield, ME. BAR 359 was one of the last units bought new from EMD in 1967 being delivered in the simplified blue and yellow scheme with no dynamic brakes, during the Iron Road days it was upgraded to GP-38-3 standards and assume that this is when it was equipped with dynamic brakes. Today it is part of Watco's fleet operating as their 3829.
