BAR GP-7 #61 Switching Millinocket, ME 11-00-75

Millinocket was a busy terminal on the Bangor and Aroostook with at least 2 jobs going to the large, now idle and in the process of being torn down paper mill located in East Millinocket and round the clock service at the mill located in Millinocket. Sadly the mill in Millinocket has been torn down. In addition to the yard jobs to support the mill there would be normally 2 through jobs through this terminal in each direction daily except Sunday. Today much of the yard has been removed along with the turntable and outlying support buildings. North of MP 109 the line is now owned by the State of Maine and operated by Irving as their Maine Northern while South it is owned and operated by the CMQ. The Bangor and Aroostook is no more.
