BAR F3A # 42 Turkey Train SB Carey's Crossing, Milo, ME 12-09-79

During the Dumaine Years of ownership the Bangor & Aroostook would operate the "Turkey Train" across the system handing out frozen turkeys to employees of the railroad.. The Train would normally depart out of Northern Me Junction on Thursday headed North to Madawaska working their way back South and back to Northern Maine Junction. Thirty Eight years ago yesterday with no snow on the ground the "Turkey Train is rolling Southbound as it approaches Carey's Crossing in Milo. The train has but one more stop to make and that will be at Derby, home of the BAR Shops. Oh Yeah, the BAR being the class operation that they were handed out turkeys to the clerical staff at Brownville Junction including the 3rd trip operator, it sure tasted good.
