YR-1 EB Miles Pond, VT 12-21-79
YR-1 is rolling through the village of Miles Pond Vermont on a perfect day in December of 1979. 2 of the 10 Independence Class GE's are part of the locomotive consist. The U18B's would be that last new locomotives to be purchased by the Maine Central. While this portion of the Mountain Division has the tracks intact the right of way is grown up with trees as a train has not been over this line in over 20 years.
