Starbirds 03-76
Even with the longer days of March is will still necessary to calls the plows out. A plow working its way to Foxcroft hit a broken rail just West of Starbirds. Track speed on the branch was 25 mph and resulted in the plow be turned 180 degrees and laying on its side. Sadly both of the engineering department employees in the plow were injured and resulted in both of them retiring. Today the Foxcroft Branch is just a rail trail owned by the Maine DOT.
