CPR Canadian Pacific Railway No 41 RS10 #8581 Brownville Jct 10-75
Often there was no freight train out of Saint John on Sunday nights. When this took place the CP would reposition power from Saint John to Montreal on No 41.Upon arrival Montreal Windsor Station the power would go to Glen Yard and the freight locomotive's would then go to St Luc for servicing. No 41 tonight has 4 engines including 3 RS10's and a trailing F. The steam generator on the 8581 is working tonight as they are watering the locomotive as it is steam generator equipped. There will be some added heat in the cab tonight.
