CPR Canadian Pacific Railway No 42 E8-A #1800 Danforth 4-21-76
When the time changed from Standard Time to Daylight Savings time one could photograph No 42 East of Mattawamkeag and in daylight hours. However this was a short window of opportunity as No 42 will be annulled for the summer replaced by No 40 which ran almost 2 hours earlier. This was done to allow connections to be made with the CP owned ferry service from Saint John to Digby. No 42 is passing through Danforth in April of 76 no doubt running a few minutes late account of the spring thaw. The CP's major tie and ballast program had not made it this far east yet.
