MEC Maine Central Great Works Switcher S4 #315 Oldtown 11-21-77
A pair of S-4's are working the Oldtown Switcher today. This local did the switching at the paper mill at Great Works making side trips to Olamon or Passadumkeag to switch the lumber mills. The paper mill has gone through several owners and is suppose to be active once again. The former Eastern Subdivision mainline is now down to 10 mph, seldom used as all maritime traffic is now handled via a haulage agreement with the Central
Maine and Quebec out of Northern Maine Jct.
