BAR Bangor & Aroostook Plow Extra 61 South Brownville 2-14-77
THE BAR had 2 main lines between South Lagrange and Packards and by the mid 70's the Medford Cut-off as it was known was the home for the majority of the BAR potato cars. The railroad was still dispatched with train orders and the elimination of the cut-off and weather resulted in delays. The BAR placed a caboose as a train order office complete with train order signal at the North leg of the wye at Brownville. This was later replaced with a tin shack. The plow extra is plowing the KI branch to Brownville Jct where they will wye and then continue South to No Me Jct
