December 17, 1974 the CP bought the 57 miles of joint track it had been operating on from Mattawamkeag to Vanceboro making it a truly transcontinental, well we all kow the end of that story. The Maine Central maintained operating rights over the Joint track and here we see a late BV-1 running as an extra at Danforth
