Back in the 90's the CN basically divested itself of their mainline via Campbellton and the line was purchased by a group of investor's for the mainlines in New Brunswick as well as the lines in Quebec including the Gaspe Line, It was an MLW's fan's heaven with units including RS18's. M420W's and C424's for power. Business was dropping on the line was dropping and trips to the end of the line became less frequent. With new industries developing and with a 100 million grant service to the end of the line and the return of Via's Chaleur maybe but a year or two away.
