St Nicholas - Chignal Smealey, Essex (64)

More Essex Churches

These are more examples of Essex Church images that show the Architecture, the Interiors, the Exteriors and especially the Stained Glass Windows that I have taken over the last year or two. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did visiting them.

Chignal Smealy is a small village about 5 miles outside Chemsford in a north-west direction. St Nicholas church is mainly a red brick building of Tudor design with the North Aisle being added later. The Font is also made of Tudor Brick, which is quite unusual and thought to be one of two in the country. It is still used for baptisms.
