35 cents with a 35mm lens, king of the filmic road.
Flickr Friday's #35 photographic exercise with a professionally used Olympus OM1n 35mm film camera.
The camera was purchased off a retired Western Australian photographer with an OM series 35mm focal length f2.8 lens attached.
This Western Australian photographer made the interesting observation that he found the OM lenses very accurate with the depth of focus scale and was disappointed Olympus did not make a 35mm equivalent full frame digital camera. He moved to the Canon system and found for video work the Canon lenses he used were not as reliable with their depth of focus scale settings on their lenses.
The only thing that needed fixing on the camera above was the self timer that he kindly warned me about and I now notice I had forgotten to reattach the black centerpiece on the switch, apparently it is hard to get good help nowadays:)
The coins help give you an idea of the compactness of this revolutionary and elegant Olympus OM camera system.
35 cents of loose change in the foreground.
10 cents lyrebird
5 cents echidna
20 cents platypus
85mm f2 Olympus OM lens using an aperture of f4
