Brisbane lilies at dusk Primoplan 58mm f1.9 at f1.9 PB221426

Brisbane Lily – Proiphys cunninghamii

Seen in forests in southeast Queensland with established clumps of lily's putting up flowering stems to the end of December.

These guys are growing amongst native ferns to try and hide them from pests

An introduced pest the lily borer caterpillar can wipe out these plants in Brisbane.

Probably wise to have young plants germinating each year or so and to watch your plants closely through the year.
