USS Midway
Museum Ship USS Midway (CV-41) permanently berthed at the San Diego Waterfront since 2004. Commissioned just eight days after the end of WWII modified in 1955 and again in 1970, 45,000t in 1945, 64,000t at Decommissing in 1992, she served in the Viertnam conflict (twice) and the Gulf War in 1991. Believed to be the largest Aircraft carrier open to the public anywhere.
