Vickers Supermarine 510 VV 106 at the Fleet Air Arm Reserve Collection at Cobham Hall Yeovilton in 2002. A swept wing Attacker later influencing the design of the RAF Swift mostly tasked with trials work, became the first swept wing aircraft to land on HMS Illustrious during trials in 1950, retired from flying duties in 1955.
All Supermarine jets were built at South Marston northeast of Swindon the last type being the Scimitar.
