A Strange-looking Creature .......................
This is a Sphecid (Sphecidae) Wasp of the Ammophila genus (Ammophila terminata I think). Also known as a Thread-waisted Wasp. They are predatory wasps. With thanks to Henrik Gyurkovics for identifying it for me. Taken in Spain.
