Kestrel - Male (Falco tinnunculus)

Kestrels are daytime hunters, most often seen perched on telegraph poles or wires, or hovering over roadsides, as if suspended on a string! They catch small mammals, especially voles, and also beetles, lizards, earthworms and small birds.
