Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina)

This male Red-crested Pochard has been creating a bit of attention since it turned up at Hardwick Park recently. The light was dreadful at the time I captured this shot but we didn't have time to wait until the sun came out fully - plus, it swam away out of camera shot and proceeded to take a duck nap! Lol.
