The Vapourer (Orgyia antigua)
I found this caterpillar on my apple tree leaf. It is the larva of The Vapourer Moth (also known as the Rusty Tussock Moth). This caterpillar was only approx. 15mm long.
You should not handle these because it's hairs cause skin irritation.
