Cuban Tody (Todus multicolor) - Cayo Coco, Cuba

I can't get enough of these adorable Todies. There are only 5 species and only found in the Caribbean. The other ones are found in Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola. These little jumping beans make their nests in a 12 inch long tunnel in a clay embankment, with a terminal chamber. Believe it or not this tiny endemic bird is sometimes hunted for food.
