Magellanic Penguin chick with adult (Spheniscus magellanicus) - Punta Tombo, AR

This baby was with its parent at its burrow. The adults walk long ways uphill from the water several kms to get to their chicks. This was taken at Punto Tombo near Trelew in Patagonia. This is the largest Magellanic Penguin colony in mainland South America with as many as 1 million birds!
