Female Gorgeted Woodstar (Chaetocercus heliodor) - Cosanga, EC

This tiny hummer is only 7 cm long making it one of the smallest birds native to South America. This beautiful gem was at the wonderful Cabanas San Isidro Lodge. I sure miss the diversity of hummers in South America. I had never seen so many species of hummers before.
