Hurricane Ridge - Port Angeles, WA

Panorama shot of a beautiful hike in Olympic National Park to alpine meadows where the endemic Olympic Marmot lives. We also saw endemic Olympic Chipmunks and other wildlife like Deer, Gray Jays, Pipits and other birds. The scenery there was spectacular including views of the The Strait of Juan de Fuca, Canada and the Olympic Mountains and Peninsula. This is a 5.2Km hike on Hurricane Ridge to Hurricane Hill which sits at 5700 Ft and it has a elevation gain of 650Ft.

Olympic National Park holds many species that are endangered, threatened and endemic and for this reason it is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.
