I'll take two please!

When it comes to Curlews 2 are always better than 1! I found these birds in the strangest spot today...eating worms behind a secondary school in the middle of the city. You just never know where good birds will turn up.

Long-billed Curlews are a species at risk in Canada and is listed as a "species of special concern." Their Canadian range stretches from BC to SK. These birds breed in BC and due to habitat loss from agricultural land such as orchards, vineyards and urban development the land becomes fragmented and they have increased exposure to predators.

It is truly important to preserve and conserve our grassland habitats across the country, as we have so little of it left.
