Yu_Eddie Street Photography#2

This gentleman is Max; I met him on Market Street at SF. Just like me he was Chinese and was born at Shenzhen, China. He told me that he is interior design majored and is studying alone in the U.S. In addition, he also said that he loves street photography and owns a Nikon D800E. Max was a really cool guy to talk to. I took the photograph the way it is composed because I really like pattern of the pillar and it had something the model could lead against. What makes this shot interesting is the way the model poses, his sunglasses and the color of clothing he was wearing really made him stood out from the pillar next to him and the people on the street. The emotion/feeling I am trying to convey in this photograph is cool. The way the model poses, his sunglasses and the type of clothing he was wearing makes him looks like a really really fashionable/model status young man. The setting I chose to use is of an aperture f/5.6 because I wanted Max to be sharp and the pedestrians/background just slightly blurred to give the viewer a taste of street. Consequently, I had to choose a shutter speed of 1/40 to correctly compensate the aperture.
