I took the photograph the way it is composed because I wanted a piece of cake stake on top of the other to make the shot look more elegant. What makes this photograph interesting is that I took the photo at a table level and a single plate with two types of cake stake on top of each other makes the shot looks really exquisite and mouth watering. The emotion/feeling I am trying to convey in this photograph is delicateness. The two pieces of cake are neatly stake on top of each other and the fork to the right adds to the fineness. The setting I used to take this shot is of an aperture f/8.0, I chose this aperture because I wanted both piece of cake to be in focus as much as possible and background and the fork to the right slightly blurred out to eliminate distraction. I also took the shot inside the restaurant next to a window. I had to bump up my ISO to 400 and a shutter speed of 1/25 to properly compensate the aperture and the minimal lighting.
