Other details

Here's a close up on the rest of the costume. Yes, those are painted shaving cream bottles. The jumpsuit was a lucky thrift-store find, but they can also be purchased online with a quick google search. I added small felt patched with the flame cutout to both shoulders, which only took about 20 min.

The Gas Mask is an Israeli Civilian Gas Mask (you can get your own here: www.keepshooting.com/militarysurplus/protectivegear/israe... The gas mask comes with a few filters, but they are all too large and designed to fit on the front, which is not consistent with the TF2 design. So I glued together the bottoms of two large yogurt containers and painted them black to make the filter on the side of the mask. It's attached to a small knob thing that was already on the gas mask, and removes easily, but in case you want to use the mask for something else. I also drilled a few holes in the mouth of the mask, because it was difficult to breathe in and I didn't want to pass out at the con. Because the Mask is just held on with rubber straps, and the Pyro's mask covers his whole head, I wore a black cotton and spandex balaclava underneath, again, these can be found with a quick google search, just be careful you don't order a wool or fleece one, as it won't have the look you want and you may get a bit over heated.

Also, don't forget rubber boots and gloves! (I got mine at an army surplus store)
