St Francis Xavier's Cathedral is in the coastal city of Geraldton, 425km north of Perth.
It was built in three stages between 1916 and 1938.
The cathedral is the largest and most imposing work of priest and architect, John Hawes.
Several architectural styles are represented - Spanish Colonial variation of the baroque, Spanish Californian and the Great central portal is French Romanesque.
