Koorda CWA
Koorda is a small town in the WA wheatbelt, about 200km NE of Perth.
These days its population is about 400 and, like many such towns, started out as a siding, this one being on the Wyalkatchem to Mt Marshall railway line.
The townsite was gazetted in 1917 and judging by the several handsome Art Deco buildings still surviving there, by the 1930s it was a prosperous farming centre.
