Early morning brownies
The last stand of the BLS Re 4/4 "Brownies" was (is?) the car shuttles through the Lötschberg summit tunnel. During the summer the trains were running at I think 15 minute intervals so one could see quite alot of action in a short period of time. The catch was the trains only saw daylight for a short stretch of line and this was only really photographable in the very early morning hours on the longest days of the year. After spending the night in a nearby hostel the early alarm clock and a short walk to the track paid off with a nice morning photographing these endangered machines.
