In reality the Thai railways were largely designed with the help of German engineers in the 1890s and the standard German semaphore signals prevail on many lines to this day. Here train 445 (Chumpon – Hat Yai) accelerates past the exit/entry signals at the south end of Surat Thani station behind Alstom 4230.
