The Reblaus Express operates mainly through open farm country and the line is dotted with "Prairie skyscrapers" as in the midwestern US. These grain storage facilities are a familiar sight at stations around Lower Austria. Today much fewer get rail service but recently some sporadic freight service on this line has been reactivated. On of the great things about old school trains and low platform boarding is its easy enough to get some photos even while using the train for transport. Remembering my India tactics, I opened the door gate and bailed off the second we came to a stop at the station here in Langau. The relatively long minute long halt gave me enough time to run far enough down to capture a good shot. Then it was time for a leisurely walk to the next location for the return trip.
