Semmering flashback
In 2018, long before I had any idea I would one day even temporary live in Vienna, I made my first visit to the Semmering Bahn. I had a few angles marked out as must haves and some sort of idea on how to get there. The first morning was less than succesful with much of it spent scrambling up the wrong hillsides and then after finding the right spot not having any trains. However the second morning I found the right trail and made it up to the high cliffs above the Kalte-Rinne in time for several morning trains, the highlight being the heavy Ore-Tainers which required the assistance of two 1142 class locomotives. Looking forward to trying out some more new angles that I have been eyeing all winter with the lengthening days.
