To the foot of the Alps
RE 57502 passes through the idyllic countryside just outside the trains destination in Fuessen. Trains on this line are normally full of tourists heading to the famous Neuchwanstein Castle on which the Disney Castle is modeled on. The train ride itself is quite scenic passing through the rolling pasturelands with views of the Alps to the south. Unfortunately DB will be handing over services to a private operator in December which will be using DMUs instead of these loco hauled trains.
