Mother and Child

Sculpture located in front of Tromsø Cathedral is called “Mor og barn” (Mother and Child).

It was created by Norwegian sculptor Tone Thiis Schjetne (1928–2015), known for her works filled with warmth and humanity. Installed in front of the cathedral during the 1960s, it has become one of the familiar artistic landmarks in the center of Tromsø.
