Mochica Sacrifice Ceremony
The sacrifice ceremony was the central point of the Mochica religion. The presentation of the blood of the defeated to the main gods is the culmination of the ritual fights. Archaeological excavations at several sites on the northern side of Peru have uncovered tombs of Mochica lords and ladies, with ornaments and objects that allow us to identify them as the characters who participated in this ceremony
