Sawan Pavilion - Red Fort

Sawan (or Bhadon) Pavillion is located inside the Hayat Bakhsh Bagh garden (Life-bestowing garden) in the Red Fort in Delhi. It is carved out of white marble. The small niches in the front wall were prepared to receive oil lamps or vases with golden flowers placed during the day. Sawan and Bhadon are tho rainy months in the Hindu calendar during the monsoon.
