I'm Still Here!

Sorry it's been a while folks. I'm all too aware that in my very last post (almost three weeks ago) I said I'd become a better Flickr citizen. But since then it's been non-stop. Admittedly mostly good non-stop, but I don't feel like I've come up for air recently - what with an adventure in Wales, followed by smaller escapades since we returned home on Thursday.

The nine days in Wales have delivered an enormous number of images - so many in fact that I don't know where to start. When to start is also now a problem as my PC, which I only use for my photograpghy has decided to pack up on me without warning. I'd just about managed to process this first image from yesterday (more of that in a moment) when it inexplicably crashed and started beeping at me plaintively, as if I were some IT sage who'd know what to do about it. Fortunately it's still in warranty so those lovely people from HP will have the pleasure of fixing it for me. Fortunately also I'd already uploaded all of those RAW files into my cloud, so at least I haven't lost those moments on the mountains, valleys and waterfall walks to the gods of unexplained calamity that rule the roost in computer-land. Not unless Amazon collapses too. I'll get to those Welsh images once normal services have been resumed and the good weather breaks and people stop asking me to lunch because I'm always free now. They could also stop askng me to go running, cycling, paddleboarding, playing tennis and (I still don't believe this) sea swimming without a wetsuit too - although all of the above were fun - except the swimming. If we follow each other on Instagram or you're kind enough to follow my Facebook page you may have already seen some of the phone images I took on my travels in the van.

Talking of the van, this is from yesterday, and our first escapade in Brenda to Godrevy on a Tuesday afternoon. I'd been looking forward to this, and the light was wonderful, delivering a perfect combination of blue and orange, with a peach coloured afterglow thrown into the mix. I was about to work on a second composition, one of those delightful focus stacks, when the ship went down. Maybe my PC doesn't like focus stacks. I'm not that keen either to be honest.

I hope you're all well - as you can probably tell I'm in a bit of a rush again, so this isn't one of the normal feature length essays that has a few of you dutifully reading and the rest of you skipping to the next post. I'll return properly soon. Once I get that infernal computer working again. I wonder if I can persuade my nearly seven year old laptop to play. Probably not.
