Glen Etive's residents

Another shot from the recent expedition to Glencoe and surrounding area. When we walked the West Highland Way in July 2015 we only met a couple of them along the entire 96 miles, but here in winter they come down from the higher ground to enjoy a midge free existence and we saw them in numbers.

This one posed for a quick handheld shot. We met more of them further along the glen on the way to Loch Etive, and hand fed them some carrots, courtesy of another group of visitors. A real treat to see them close up and pass some time in their company. I believe these are Red Deer but I'm ready to be corrected.
