Buachaille Etive Mor

Just returned from a three day long adventure in the Scottish Highlands, a trip that was eagerly anticipated and long awaited.

On Friday morning three of us left the Glencoe Youth Hostel in the early hours and climbed to a high vantage point on neighbouring Beinn a Chrulaiste where we awaited the sunrise. We were rewarded with early pinks in the cold morning air, which was followed by a soft golden light on this most iconic of mountains.

This panoramic consists of 6 handheld portrait images merged together. It was a morning that brought huge smiles to all of us. The Glencoe winter weather was very kind! Below us runs the River Coupall, and the West Highland Way. In between them is the A82, a road used in many a film and TV programme as well as plenty of adverts.

We are returning to this stunning location in May to walk the West Highland Way for a second time.
