I enjoyed the selfie project a lot! It allowed me to really practice masking while also creating something fun and interesting. This is one of my favorites!
I wanted to depict both the immature, childish side of me aside the more mature, "grown-up" side of me. I think I'm obviously somewhere in the middle -- but that doesn't stop me from sometimes trying to act like a complete child or adult. To create this, I took two pictures, played around with the opacity, and used masking techniques. It was challenging to set my phone in a way that both pictures would have similar frames, but through trial and error, I eventually got it. Since I had practiced masking in previous projects, I didn't find it as difficult to do so this time.
