Full Moon at Bodiam

While Bodiam Castle is a spectacular sight in broad daylight, visiting the grounds after sunset had definitely an eerie touch to it. I checked with the people of the National Trust while we visited during daytime if it was OK if we roamed the grounds after closing hours (there is a public footpath running through the grounds). Luckily it was OK (maybe being a NT member helped ;-) )

With the moon getting ever higher and stronger, we got these nice reflections on the calm moat. Except for the occasional rustle in the surrounding bushes everything got very quiet, adding to the spooky atmosphere.
